Drawing Dies Sketch

The art of process of wire drawing like the name applies is to draw a wire of bigger diameter through a hole with smaller diameter hereby reducing the diameter through plastic deformation while the volume remains the same. To do this a tool called drawing die is used.

This Sketch shows a Drawing Die with its dimensions as follows :

Case Size of Die :
where 'D' stands for diameter of case
where 'H' stands for height of case

Carbide Pellet Size :
where 'd' stands for diameter of Pellet
where 'h' stands for height of Pellet
where 'B' stands for Bore size / Inner diameter of Pellet
where 'C' stands for Reduction angle of Pellet

The above mentioned relative dimensions are the most important Paramater to mfg any kind of T.C. Drawing Die.
